Dr. Jay Chung earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Georgetown Dental School. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Science from University of Maryland, College Park.
Dr. Chung has been practicing dentistry for 34 years. He served on active duty in the U.S. Army for three years as a Dental Officer after graduating from Dental School. He was assigned as a Chief of Oral Surgery at the clinic, and experienced many different surgical procedures. Some of these procedures include impacted extractions, management of trauma, bone grafts and implant placements. He was also assigned as an Infection Control Officer keeping up with ever changing OSHA regulations and maintaining aseptitc technique in the clinical settings.
Since Dr. Chung began practicing dentistry, he has kept up to date on many continuing education courses, ensuring his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
